Welcome!

United Way of the National Capital Area is working with local partners to address the many needs of residents in our region. "Living United in our Nation's Capital" is a forum where United Way NCA and the community can discuss this critical work and express opinions about events and important local issues.

Bowling for A Cause

On April 8, UWNCA’s Young Leaders held a Happy Hour at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge so young leaders could meet other like-minded peers.

The group gathered to raise awareness about how our Young Leaders help the community and to have some fun! More than 40 people had a great time and spoke with other young philanthropists about how they can make a difference with United Way.

These types of fundraisers have produced quite a turn-out with tons of young people learning how to make a difference in their community.

Young Leaders focus on giving back to their community through fundraising events like the one at Lucky Strike and by volunteering their time with days of service.

This year on April 24th, the Young Leaders team will be joining thousands of other area residents in the region’s largest day of service.
