The Gift of Giving

Thanks to the generous gift of a local law firm this month, United Way of the National Capital Area (UWNCA) coordinated the delivery of 300 gifts to nearly 100 families in the greater Washington Area.

The partner agencies that work closely with UWNCA helped to identify families in need through the region. In Da Street Inc., Bright Beginnings, Teen Support Inc., Helping Hands, Inc., Kiwanis club, DC, DC Public Schools along with the United Way staff, all helped deliver toys to local households.

"Even a game for these kids lets them know that someone cares - This is just a blessing for these families," said Elizabeth Parker with Teen Support Inc.

UWNCA works with more than 950 partner agencies to address the needs of our neighbors throughout the year and especially during the holiday season. Thank you to the agencies who helped get these toys to those who need them and UWNCA wishes everyone a warm, safe bright holiday season.
